What is Child Care?

Child CareChild Care is the care and supervision of young children, preferably under 8 years. The concept of Child Care has focused sharply in early education received by children in North America, known because of the repercussions of a child's experiences in adulthood, such as, for example, the formation of good habits. In other countries the concept of Child Care changes, according to their cultures and laws.

Child Care in Western culture.

In Western culture, the type of Child Care child receives focuses on her parents, and lack of any of these or both, is the biological family who takes over the responsibility to educate and protect children. If there were none of the above, then the civil society takes care of it through orphanages or special institutions and duly authenticated. These institutions are responsible for the maintenance, education and protection of children.

Child Care to support parents.

In modern societies, where both parents work during the day, has popularized the Child Care system based child care centers, including crèches, daycare, and Preschools. Instead, the Child Care at home is based primarily on the care they can give a third party (commonly called "nanny"), and less often close relatives. Because the children care home licensing does not require special legal, super surveillance of the children should be entirely the responsibility of parents.
